After the Jarboe get-together in Lexington Saturday, Rena and I went to Mom and Dad's in Bowling Green for the rest of the weekend. On Monday we drove back to Coshocton. It was a beautiful day, but with quite a strong wind blowing. Fortunately, the wind was out of the south-west, which gave us a tailwind that really helped our gas mileage.
We stopped for lunch in LaGrange, Kentucky for lunch. At a bank next to the restaurant sat a service truck for Jarboe's Plumbing, Heating and Cooling. We thought it a fitting footnote to our reunion trip.
As far as I know, the LaGrange Jarboes aren't related to us. One would have to go back many generations to find a common ancestor. However, it is interesting to see our family name printed that large on the side of a truck.
