Celebrations

Monday, August 24th, Rena and I celebrated 35 years of marriage. I took a vacation day and we went north and looked around in some shops in Holmes County. After a nice supper in a restaurant featuring Amish cooking, we headed home. Not far from home we had to stop and wait while a dairy herd crossed the road. It was milking time and the 15-20 cows were intent on getting to the milk house.

The following Monday Javin, our grandson, turned six years old. We celebrated his birthday with him on Sunday. He's a delight to us and the whole family.

The previous post told of our celebrating the completion of the Moody Aviation Cessna R182. While at MMS for repair, Moody Aviation leadership decided to upgrade the plane by incorporating some features of later editions of the model. Consequently, the airplane was repaired and modified by MMS to make it more useful in Moody Aviation's missionary pilot training program.
